Cumberland Medical Institute is a private community healthcare skills training institute.  We train people to master and acquire the skills and certifications required for jobs in the healthcare industry.  Our emphasis begins with universal precautions and centers on small class sizes. Our instructors are certified professionals in their respective fields. We work hard to get our students into clinical settings for externships. We promise students that they will learn, practice and master the vital healthcare tools for success.

It is the goal of Cumberland Medical Institute to provide quality allied health programs that prepare graduates to perform technical skills, mental competencies and professionalism necessary to obtain entry-level positions in the healthcare industry.

Additionally, the school will provide through each program:

Cumberland Medical Institute is authorized by the Georgia Non-Public Postsecondary Education Commission.  We are certified by the Department of Community Health through GMCF and approved as a testing site through NHA (National Healthcareer Association). We are also authorized by the  American Heart Association for the CPR, First Aide, AED, BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS courses.

The schools facility is specially designed for training students in the medical field. The facility is centrally located within Cobb County.  Our campuses are located in office buildings which are well lighted, ventilated, and free from distracting noises. Our facilities are also accessible to those with physical disabilities and parking is available for the convenience of students.  Cumberland Medical Institute maintains a smoke free environment. We do not provide housing for our students.

Classrooms are well-equipped throughout the facility.  We utilize up-to-date, specialized equipment and laboratory supplies throughout all of our program coursework.  We are equipped to stimulate a specific workplace environment. We maintain a smoke-free environment throughout our facilities.  For instance, our Medical Assisting Program has a variety of resources such as medical charts, posters, skeletons and anatomical models; our Phlebotomy program has an array of needles for venipuncture procedures and other blood-drawing supplies; our EKG program is equipped with a state-of-the-art EKG machine, leads and others materials necessary to perform the duties of an EKG technician.
