Veteran’s Benefits

Cumberland Medical Institute requires the following documentation when registering for a course:

  1. U.S. Issued ID
  2. Social Security Card
  3. Certificate of Eligibility Letter
  4. College Transcripts
  5. Criminal Background Record

 

Applying for Education Benefits for the first time?

You must fill out the Application for Education Benefits form, 22-1990 online at https://www.vets.gov/education/apply-for-education-benefits/ The 22-1990 is the form used if you are a veteran or service member applying for an educational benefit for the first time. (For example, if you have never used education benefits before, or are switching from one education benefit to another – The Montgomery GI Bill to the Post 9/11 GI Bill.)

 

Steps for applying for VA benefits:

  1. http://benefits.va.gov/gibill/
  2. Click “Education & Training”
  3. Click “For Students”
  4. Click “Get Started”
  5. Click “Apply for Benefits”
  6. In the section Apply for Benefits, click on the first bullet “Apply online”
  7. Click on “Apply on eBenefits”
