EKG Technician

The EKG technician performs electrocardiograms according to a physician’s orders and established practices or procedures. They perform diagnostic tests to assess heart rhythms and heart rates in patients. An electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) may be necessary for pre-operation or post-operation patients, during physical examinations for patients over 40, or for patients with a history of heart disease. A well-trained EKG technician is an integral part of the management of patients with heart disease. We strongly recommend taking the EKG course along with the phlebotomy course offered at this institute. Upon successful completion of the course the institute would register and prepare the student to take the NHA Certified EKG Technician (CET) national certification exam at our location or any other location.
