Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

The CCMA course will prepare students to perform clinical and administrative tasks in various healthcare facilities. These could include the offices of chiropractors, physicians, clinical labs, minute clinics, urgent care centers, home healthcare agencies and community care centers. The CCMA is trained to perform primary and advanced patient care including vital signs collection, venipuncture, specimen collection and processing, 12 lead EKG, telemetry monitoring, patient intake, scheduling, insurance billing and risk management.

Classes Available:

Morning

Tues/Thurs
9:00 A.M. ~ 2:00 P.M.
This is a 12-14 week long program

Evening

Tues/Thurs
4:00 P.M. ~ 9:00 P.M.
This is a 12-14 week long program

Clinicals/Externship:
88 hours of clinical/externships are completed by both morning or evening class students at a designated facility chosen by the school.

Entry Requirements:

–          Active GA CNA Certification

–          Clean criminal record

–          High school diploma/GED

–          Working knowledge of computers

–          Ability to communicate effectively in English

–          Typing speed of >20 wpm
